South Africa is home to thousands of hectares of pristine, bush veld. This is divided into Game Reserves which are all managed and controlled by a Committee of land owners. Conservation of the Fauna and Flora is a top priority and commercial lodges exist so that these reserves may sustain their viability.
It is also the country which is most easily accessed from five continents, with numerous daily flights into Johannesburg from Europe, the UK, USA and Asia. From Johannesburg, it is just a short flight into the great wildlife reserves around the Kruger National Park.

Sabi Sand Game Reserve is a collection of private game reserves that share unfenced borders with each other and with the Kruger National Park. This allows the free movement of wildlife over more than 2 million hectares of pristine bush, and the entire conservation area is known as the greater Kruger National Park.
Each lodge in the Sabi Sands is privately owned and managed, and the typical safari experience here combines the comfort and luxury of 4-star and 5-star hotels with the thrill of open vehicle game drives, guided bush walks and "big five" wildlife sightings. The big five are known to be the 5 most dangerous animals to hunt, i.e. lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. Of course, no hunting is permitted in the Sabi Sands.
